In Your Eyes

Across the canvas of my mind,
Paint the sunset that you see.
As our eyes gaze upon day’s end,
Tell me of how it touches thee.

Draw me from my monochrome world
Into the peaceful hues you find.
For more beautiful are the colors,
When seen through eyes so kind.

As the sun gently kisses the sea,
And the sky ignites with fire,
Whisper softly of their dance
So their romance may inspire.

And when the day is over,
And midnight fills the skies,
Hold me close and keep on sharing;
Speak of those stars in your eyes.

Hands of Love

heart_of_glass_by_D00FY

 ೋღ ♥ ೋღ

A heart of glass held in his hand~
An open book for him to read.
A heart holding many secrets;
Closed to the world which made it bleed.

Held together with her teardrops,
He understood each break and crack;
With sweet kindness and compassion,
He set to gently glue it back.

Carefully he replaced each shard,
As he dried each shimmering tear.
Fashioning back a heart brand new
With a love gentle and sincere.

Every piece now perfectly laid
Within this sparkling symbol of love.
Transparent for the world to see
Now restored by the hands above.

Dance with Me

ೋღ ♥ ೋღ

Dance with me to the ocean’s refrain,
As the sun sets after the rain.
Bodies close in evening’s embrace~
Heart to heart and face to face,
Before the music fades again…..

Let not this moment be in vain;
Whisper sweet words to ease heart’s pain.
Passions poured forth swirl round this place~
Dance with me…..

‘Neath twinkling stars, breath to regain;
As dawn’s dance causes night to strain.
Let time stand still, or slow its pace;
Sway, as we transcend time and space~
Dance with me…..

Genie in the Bottle

disney-2013-166

ೋღ ♥ ೋღ

Genie in the bottle,
You are finally free.
Free from the pain of this life;
Free from your misery.

Genie in the bottle,
You chose to fly away.
Leaving all to sit and wonder
Why, with us, you could not stay.

Genie in the bottle,
Your freedom had a cost.
Paid by the ones left behind
To mourn their heart’s great loss.

Genie in the bottle,
Three wishes wished so true…
Each that you’ll rest in peace now ~
In God’s arms as He holds you.

“I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone. It’s not.
The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel all alone.”
– Robin Williams

 ~*~

*A small offering as my heart grieves this loss.  As one who has suffered from the pain that suicide brings for generations to come, I ask that we continue to hold this family in prayer along with other countless families broken because of the pain left in suicide’s wake.  I pray that this world begins to find the hope that lies in the Lord.  Nothing is too big for Him–No one ever has to feel that alone.  Thank you for reading.  Rest in peace, Robin.

**You may not know, but in 1992, Robin Williams played the voice of the genie in Aladdin.  One of our favorites–He was absolutely perfect for the part.

Behold the beauty of God’s fragrant rose ~
See subtle winds brushing petals there.
Gently, in Love’s garden she grows,
Quiet as the whispered prayer.
Carefully, each hue chose,
And the perfumed air ~
In these, He shows
Love’s great care.
Sweet rose,
fair.
